Lindsay Uhrich is an American mezzo-soprano from Westerville, Ohio. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Music at Bowling Green State University under the tutelage of Christopher Scholl. Recently, she received her Bachelor's of Music in Voice Performance along with her Bachelor's of Arts in Mathematics at DePauw University, where she studied under Dr. Janani Sridhar and Dr. André Campelo. She received summa cum laude and magna cum laude Latin honors respectively for both of her degrees.
Lindsay has had a multitude of opportunities to perform onstage, both in a professional and a scholarly way. Most recently, she made her international debut as the Third Spirit in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with the International Lyric Academy in the summer of 2024. In the summer of 2023, she participated in Chicago Summer Opera, where she performed the roles of Lesbo and Giunone in Handel's Agrippina, as well as covered the role of Ottone in the same show. In the summer of 2022, she made her professional debut at the Ohio Light Opera, where she performed as Kate in The Pirates of Penzance, as well as various ensemble roles. In her collegiate career, some of her role highlights include The Fox from Rachel Portman's The Little Prince, Second Witch from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Operator #1 in Michael Remson's Sorry Wrong Number, and La fata verde in Respighi's La bella dormente nel bosco.
Additionally, Lindsay has had a lot of experience with performing in choral masterworks. She most recently made her debut as the Alto soloist of Beethoven's 9th Symphony as a young artist at International Lyric Academy, where she sung under the direction of renowned conductor Stefano Vignati. While at DePauw, she has had the honor of performing diverse pieces of repertoire, most notably the Fauré Requiem in the spring of her fifth year. She has also had the opportunity to sing alongside the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra for their holiday concert, where they performed Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noël and Handel's Messiah.
In her fall season, Lindsay will be performing in BGSU's fall opera scenes program, where she will be singing the final trio in Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier, as the role of Octavian.
